I would love to say that I spent hours putting this list together, another couple hours adding them to the slideshow, and much more time getting it ready for prime-time but alas… I did not. We have the fine folks at Zemanta to thank for this little SlideShare ditty that covers 40 (YES, FORTY) content marketing tools that you can use to become a better event marketer.

Before you dive into the list, it is important to note… Tools will NOT make you a marketing champion. Tools will not make your event a social media success. Tools will not land you in the meeting planning hall of fame. Tools are only as good as the people that wield them and while tools will make your job easier, the actual “content” part of the equation will be directed by you and your team.

About the list

Some items on this list will make you go “meh” while others will jump out at you like Freddy Kruger in a twisted nightmare and scream “use me NOW”…. Take any list on the internet with a grain of salt… knowing that some grains are perfect and some are just there just to add bulk.

I like this list. The folks at Zemanta did their homework and this is one of the better ones I have come across. I can say that there are a number of tools on this list that come in handy to us here at The Meeting Pool on a daily, even hourly basis. Tools not specifically made for content marketing but are the cornerstone of what we do with our content marketing program… Evernote, Feedly, and Google Docs to name a few.

So, go and grab a cup of coffee and take a stroll through this list. You will be glad you did.
