With the recent popularity of shows like Serial and Invisibilia, Podcasts are quickly becoming one of the leading ways that people are hearing stories, learning new information and to keeping up with trends and changes in just about any given field or industry. So it should come as no surprise that podcasting is rising in popularity amongst events professionals. We decided to create a roundup of some of the most popular podcasts for event planners.

The Event Tech Podcast from John Federico, CEO of EventHero

By interviewing industry experts and even tech vendors themselves, John’s podcast highlights the technologies that are changing the event industry. We enjoy the depth of the interviews and appreciate hearing from guests such as Ryan Costello of EventFarm, Trevor Lynn of Social Tables, and many others.

The Exposure Podcast by The Expo Group

If you’ve been in the events industry for a while, you’ve likely run into some of the Expo Group’s work. The Texas-based trade show management and services company started their own podcast last year and aim to “deliver timely information and interviews about the events and exhibits industry.”

PlannersPod is for anyone who works in the international events industry including photographers, caterers, production companies, etc. The hosts, Toby and James discuss everything from corporate parties and weddings to fashion shows, sports events, and product launches.
